I rolled over to the face of a young looking man, with dark hair and dark circles around his eyes. His face looked rough, but his clothes were the ones that said high class rebel. He had the sleeves of his black hoodie rolled up to the middle of his forearm, and the hood over his head. His finger was still lingering on the glass, but it moved swiftly away as I clicked the button and wound it down.

Distinction: I.Id waited for this day for almost two decades. Just out of high school, the time had finally come for me to leave my life in New Jersey and head West to Iowa.Distinction: I.
My clothes were packed, and I had boxed the few belongings I felt I needed to keep earlier in the day, and by seven that evening, I was ready to begin my journey. My parents disapproved of me driving so late. The journey was too long, and they wanted me to wait until the morning, but for me, night was best. The roads would be empty - and dark - the way I liked it.
